I would add the days to Berlin, Prague, or Budapest. Sounds like the last 2 makes most sense. Plus Salzburg/Innsbruck are a ways out. If you want to cut that 8 hour rail trip add in Bratislava for 1 day only and add a day to Prague or Budapest. I would do the overnight option to maximize your time in both places.
