Step 2 is checking cranking oil pressure at the switch. It goes on from there, including step 5, checking oil pressure at the VVA oil filter ( they state replace the filter if removed, DO NOT re-use). DTC P1524 is an information DTC due to low oil pressure, not starting, and disabling valve timing and fuel delivery.

Here’s what will make power and what won’t: -1752 big turbo: yes. -FMIC: yes. -New intake, more than likely EC v5: no, maybe a tiny amount. -4c Coil packs: no, they do absolutely nothing. -NGK spark plugs: no. -Forge BOV kit for the 1752: no, but good to have for ability to adjust BOV spring stiffness.
