This morning on my way to work (only a 3/4 min journey) my car was making a screaching noise. Started about 30/45secs in. The battery light also lit up for the whole journey. When i came to park the power steering had lost power and i couldnt move the car at all (i am only small, please dont laugh).

the immboliser just puts the key code light on - should it fail to disengage. The dash lights would still function normally. Battery terminals - Right hand side, there is the 2 lumps that are positive and negative. Ensure they are clean and tight (give em a wiggle) If they can move, they are too loose. ziggy. I replaced the brake light switch and it didn't fix the problem. After troubleshooting a bit, I saw that the 3rd brake light wasn't working. Unplugged it and problem fixed. Turns out, there was a short inside the 3rd brake light assembly. I will fix the short later in the light assembly later.. Easy fix! by dipped beam i mean when you flick the light switch on the dashboard up one for when it's just getting dark - this is what i currently don't have on the passenger side by normal beam i mean when you flick the light switch on the dashboard up twice (to the top) for driving at night - working fine now by full beam i mean when you move the stalk up (or down - can't remember) for belting round
Location. Cambridgeshire. Jan 22, 2015. #1. Hi all. The boot light in my GP doesn't want to work. The bulb is fine and the dashboard displays 'hatchback open' when the boot is open so its not the common dicky switch. The boot also opens from the centre console and from the remote key. Could it be to do with the wiring at the top of the boot?

I own a Fiat Punto Evo and the dashboard warning lights are on. It says 'Start Stop/Airbags Not Available' when starting the ignition. My local garage says it cannot identify the fault as its diagnostics machine is not compatible with the car. Do I need to take to a main Fiat garage (which will be expensive) to identify the fault? At the very

8 years ago. A. It's probably not a bulb warning light - in the sense that such a thing doesn't exist. You will have up to four light-shaped symbols on your dash, of which you will have a green one for dip-beam headlights, a blue one for main beam headlights, and possibly a green/orange one for front and rear fog lamps.

The most common causes for flickering dashboard lights and no engine crank in Fiat Punto are weak battery, corrosion on battery terminals, and bad ground connection. 1. Weak battery The leading cause of flickering dashboard lights and no start in Fiat Punto is weak battery. You may also hear rapid clicking noise when you try to start the engine.

Jan 12, 2016. #1. Hi, The LCD panel on my dash has slowly started to fail. It would get random characters appearing, then would be fine for a bit. Now it has fully gone. FIAT want to charge me £500 to replace this. My local dealers don't want to touch this with a barge pole. I need to get it sorted soon as I believe this will fail it's MOT due eMQ708K.
