The OP seemed to prioritize high-ISO noise. The 5D3 is not the best choice for that; the 6D, 6D2, 5D4, 1Dx and 1Dx2 are all better. Even the 7D2 has less high-ISO noise than a 1.6x crop from the 5D3. The reviews of 6dm2 states IQ is a bit worse than 6d. Worries me! Reply Reply with quote Reply to thread Complain.

The 5DS R can shoot up to five frames-per-second according to Canon (we got between 4.8 and 4.9fps in the lab), whereas the 5D Mark III clocks-in at 6fps. Buffer depth is good at 28 frames when
1dx series is much faster at attaining focus. Tracking may, debatably, go to the R5 but the initial focus goes to the 1dx3. No way for me to scientifically measure, but I would say my R5 attains lock as fast as my 1dx II even with an adapted 100-400 II. R5 tracking significantly better plus eye detect.

The Canon 6D is the smaller and less expensive version of the 5D Mark III. They take the same battery and accessories. The differences are minor, so if money matters, of course get the 6D for 40% less money. The 6D loses about 5% of some of the 5D Mark III features, most notably a simpler AF system, only two "C" modes, only one memory card and

Those are probably the most important changes from the 6D to the 6D Mark II for day-to-day use that will make a significant difference in the shooting experience, but that’s not all. It is a new version of 2012's original Canon 6D. The low cost comes from having fewer controls than fancier Canons like my 5DSR.
